Property Development
With visionary firm, Patri Merker Architects, TCI launched Gateway in 2005 as a new community to complement the success of Fruitvale BART's redevelopment. Envisioned as a mixed use community, Gateway would feature workforce housing, industrial flex space, a learning center, and retail -- 800 units total, situated on 30,000 SF. TCI coordinated land use entitlement, architecture, engineering, finance, and community support campaign -- yielding one of Oakland’s first CDAs listing all amenities promised to the Fruitvale Oakland community.
THOMAS TRADE CENTER, KAUNAKAKAI
Property Development and Management
TCI redeveloped and operated the Kaunakakai Neighborhood Shopping Center with anchor tenants American Savings Bank and Kaunakakai's main USPS Post Office. Thomas Trade Center also provided self storage available on the contiguous property next door. This shopping center was the nucleus for Kaunakakai, providing essential shopping options and healthcare services to the local Hawaiian community. Thomas Trade Center was later acquired by Honolulu law firm Galiher, DeRobertis and Waxman.
CAL NEVA RESORT
Consulting Services
TCI was first engaged by Los Angeles-based Canyon Capital (Goldman Sachs) to assist developer obtain land use entitlement rights from Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. Several years later, TCI participated as a bidding party within the bankruptcy auction sale along with the creditor committees. TCI consulted with several equity investors during this two-year sales process.

Planning and development of 37 acres of prime land at an excellent location in Santa Maria, California, near Santa Ynez Wine Country Gateway and upscale Santa Barbara County suburban communities.

Rutherford-based Sullivan Estate engaged Thomas Capital to assist in financial restructuring during a Chapter 11 reorganization.
FAIRWINDS ESTATE WINERY & VINEYARDS
Consulting Services
Silverado Trail-based Fairwinds Estate engaged Thomas Capital to assist with financial restructuring as well as marketing relationships. Fairwinds was introduced to Rutherford-based Sullivan Vineyards and Sloan Vineyards. TCI also assisted Fairwinds ownership raise capital through angel investor group Keiretsu Forum of San Francisco.

Rutherford, CA-based Sloan Estate engaged Thomas Capital Investments to assist in developing beneficial marketing relationships and business expansion opportunities through Hong Kong-based Goldin Financial (China).
HACIENDA DE LAS FLORES

Historic, Moraga-based Hacienda de las Flores is currently negotiating with Thomas Capital and hospitality partner, Pacific Meritage, to assist in financial restructuring and business planning to support reorganization of this nine-acre estate for current ownership.
